Agenda item - new business
Rehearse it before the real hearing.
Taking a community garden, a block party or a bike rack to your council? Write the proposal and the comment you plan to read. Seven fictional members will vote on it, three neighbours will speak, and you will find out which seat you still have to win.
A rehearsal with made-up council members - not a prediction of any real vote. Inspired by the city-builder "SimCity, but with Permits" from the Hacker News front page, October 2026.
